Academic Advancement Program

The Academic Advancement Program (The AAP) is the nation’s largest university-based student diversity program. AAP promotes academic achievement through academic advising, collaborative learning workshops, mentoring to prepare for graduate studies and professional schools, summer bridge programs for entering freshmen and transfer students, and scholarships for students.

Bruin Resource Center

The Bruin Resource Center's Veterans Resource Office (VRO) provides caring and personalized support to UCLA undergraduate and graduate student veterans. We help our veterans navigate UCLA and provide a welcoming space, mentoring from student veterans, guidance on educational benefits, and tools to succeed academically and personally.

Career Center

The UCLA Career Center's full-range of services are available to enrolled undergraduate and graduate student veterans. Career counselors assist students with exploring career options, finding and applying for jobs/internships, creating resumes, and practicing for interviews. Counselors can also address a variety of personal issues that may impact students’ career decisions. In addition, students can take various assessments to help clarify career and graduate school interests, and receive advice on how prepare for graduate or professional schools. Furthermore, student veterans will be able to network with employers at our Career Fairs, Employer Information Sessions, and participate in on campus interviews for full time positions. The Career Center also offers career focused events, online job and internship listings through BruinView, a comprehensive career library, and reference file services to store letters of recommendations from professors and employers for future use.

Counseling and Psychological Services

UCLA's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports the mental health needs and academic goals of students. CAPS offers psychiatric services, group therapy, workshops and training, and resources to benefit students.

Financial Aid Office

Center for Accessible Education

Welcome to the Center for Accessible Education ! Our services are designed to meet the unique educational needs of regularly enrolled UCLA students with documented permanent and temporary disabilities. ROTC Programs

Army

The UCLA Department of Military Science offers one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of the UCLA curriculum. During classes and field training, you will learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as an Officer in the United States Army.

Navy

The Department of Naval Science (Naval ROTC) produces officers for the United States Naval Service: Ensigns for the Navy and 2nd Lieutenants for the Marine Corps. Faculty and staff include Active Duty Officers and Enlisted servicemen from the US Navy and Marine Corps, ranging from four to almost 30 years of active duty service. Officer candidates within the Seamen-to-Admiral and Marine Enlisted College Programs are full time student while also Active Duty Enlisted servicemen and women. Of those listed above - they are all considered Veterans. Throughout the academic year, we participate in the Veterans Day Ceremony, Flag Relocation activity at the Los Angeles National Cemetery (following Memorial Day) and provide Color Guard Support for various Dept. of Veterans Affairs events and various local support organizations (American Legion/Navy League/Navy Belles). We work closely with the Veteran Resource Office on campus and assist and participate in VRO-sponsored events.

Air Force

The Air Force ROTC office offers a point of contact for student veterans interested in commissioning as an officer into the U.S. Air Force. We also offer color guard/honor guard support for ceremonies and flag presentations. Lastly, our cadets are a good resource for volunteer support required for any veterans activities, such as commemorating memorial or veterans day on campus.
