Gabriel Henriquez
Gabriel M. Henriquez was born in New York and raised in Miami. In 2013, at age 18, he enlisted
as an active-duty soldier in the United States Army. He completed basic combat training at Fort
Jackson, South Carolina. He went through Air Defense Early Warning Advanced Individual
Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he was the distinguished honor graduate, becoming the
first in his military occupation specialty to complete the course with a 100% score on every
evaluation. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with the 1-7th Air Defense Battalion,
108th Air Defense Brigade. While stationed at Fort Bragg, he supported two air defense
missions in the Middle East during a combat deployment in Jordan and an operational rotation
in the Arabian Gulf. In 2018, after five years, he was granted an honorable discharge and
moved to Los Angeles to pursue his education. Before transferring to UCLA, he completed an
associate’s degree at West Los Angeles College. At UCLA, he graduated Summa Cum Laude
with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Soon after, he was accepted to and began attending
UCLA Law School. While at the Law School, he joined the Veterans’ Law Society board as the
Director of Undergraduate Relations. He is also the Co-Founder of the UCLA Veterans’ Pre-Law
Program. He is currently a 1L student and is projected to earn his Juris Doctor in the Spring of
2025.
