Dr. Kevin Swift (Oct. 17, 2024)
Dr. Swift grew up in rural Michigan and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Molecular and Integrative Physiology. His research focused on how noradrenergic activity during sleep impacts memory and physiology. He went on to serve as a captain in the U.S. Army, working at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research as the deputy director of the Medical Readiness Systems Biology branch. He is now with the Henry Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, where he supports global infectious disease research and the Military HIV Research Program.
