Scholarships

At UCLA students are awarded scholarships by demonstrating a high level of academic and personal achievement. Scholarships can provide students with additional gift aid, enabling them to reduce borrowing or out of pocket costs. Many university scholarships are designed to reward, encourage, and assist students in pursuing academic excellence and leadership roles. Additionally, other specific criteria, such as campus or community activities, work experience and financial need are taken into account during the scholarship selection process.
For active military, veteran and dependent students using education benefits to fund their education, scholarships are an additional source of funding that does not reduce VA education benefits. You are encouraged to search for scholarships that apply specifically to military, veteran and dependents. We’ve provided direct links to a few scholarship opportunities to look into. The UCLA Financial Aid website is helpful for searching for other scholarships.
